Description: Rectangular and 1864 sq. miles, Trinidad is half forested and primarily flat except for a range of low mountains (the highest point is Mt. Aripo at 3,085 ft) in the North. There are fantastic, dark-sand beaches covered with palm trees -- which are often difficult to access, hence their pristine nature. Very cosmopolitan culture and a blending of Indian, Chinese, African and European heritage is reflected in the architecture and faces of Trinidad.

Fish-shaped and 116 sq. miles, Tobago is much smaller and far quieter. Several stunning yellow beaches thickly lined with coconut and date palms; clear, emerald-green waters. Lush forest reserve with waterfalls and dense bamboo groves. Picturesque fishing villages like Castara and Charlottesville dot the winding coastline, and their shear, white fishing boats with poles out each side look like sea gulls preparing for flight.
